Dr. Phayorm Wongsamsri

Associate Professor Dr. Phayorm Wongsarnsri, age 58 years old, earned her doctoral degree in Curriculum Research and Development from Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand. An Associate Professor of the 9th level, Dr. Phayorm is the Dean of the Graduate School at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, and holds positions on the Academic Councils of the same university and also at Buriram Rajabhat University.
Throughout her career Dr. Phayorm has devoted herself to educating, advising, training, and teaching. Throughout the day, many students come to her for counseling and advice, and she pleasantly and willingly assists them. In her career she has had many illustrious students of significant contribution to Thailand, such as: Dr. Niwat Sawatkaew, the Governor of Surat Thani Province; Dr. Direk Tuengfang, the Former-Governor of Petchaboon Province and the Former-Senator of Nonthaburi Province, and also in business, Ms. Prapit Manathanya, owner of Hong Thong milled rice. In 2004, Associate Professor Dr. Payorm was awarded the Outstanding Person of the Year for Educational Promotion and Development in Thailand by the Sentang Newspaper Company. She considers the proudest piece of her work to be 48 doctoral students who were granted their Ph.D. degrees in February 2007.
Realizing the importance of education in order to change present-day Thai society into a society of learning, Dr. Phayorm lectures to public and private agencies on subjects, such as organizational psychology, social welfare project management, conflict management, human resource management, and planning management. Dr. Phayorm teaches public officials, soldiers, police officers, private-sector employees, and Buddhist Bhikkhus from the Religious Affairs Department of Thailand. Dean Phayorm’s philosophy is, “Work is Happiness.” Thus, she has devoted herself wholeheartedly to work for society and the nation.
