Khine Hnin Wai was born on March 14, 1981. At the age of 18, she began her career as a model and actress. Today she is one of the most successful cinematic actresses in Myanmar.
In 2014, she founded the Khine Hnin Wai Foundation. She cares for children in their earliest years of life. She is an advocate for victims of child rape.
She directed and financed a film entitled, "Help Them" to bring light onto child sex trafficking. She is also an ambassador for United Act, an educational drama troupe focused on preventing child sex trafficking.
She established a charitable café in Yangon for the LGBTQ+ community with 50% of the profits dedicated to supporting the foundation.
In 2023, she was named to the BBC's 100 Women list.
The Khine Hnin Wai Foundation supports orphanages, flood victims and women in need.
